I just got in from Purposed Child Unlimited meeting for the stage play "What My Momma Doesn't Know". The agenda was to meet the cast as we played "Tell three truths and a lie", and we had to guess the lie; we were assigned our roles and was given their description; and we did other silly activities. I was disappointed that we didn't read the script because I was ready to get into it, but the description of our characters were heavy. This play is rated PG13 and it is based on true events, and we the cast are the voices. With that said, we must invite the teens, parents, and educators. My hope is that this play will help somebody whether its an outlet, or change the way people think for the better, etc.,

Yesterday my girlfriend and I made it to the ELOCIN Plus Size Boutique's casting that Mrs. Colleen (http://shortcurvyfierce.com/) told me about. As we arrived, we met the Co-Owner, Nicole K. Nolan, and Nigel from Gold Label Shoppe, who were very professional and made us feel comfortable. We presented her with our head shot and resume as we prepared ourselves to walk. I took my flats off and put on my heels as the proceeded to the front of the store. They played the music and IT WAS ON! I had to walk twice because the first time I did it, I was walking to fast. It was the adrenaline. :) They told me to slow down, but not to slow, and I found my pace. She said "I can use you in the show. You barely made it because I already have models your size. You are the last one I am taking". I told her "Thank you", and in my mind I exclaimed "Thank You JESUS"! I thank God for favor.
Before we left, I browsed the clothing and the selection of clothes are NICE and AFFORDABLE! So you have to check them out. Now, I am just waiting for her phone call with the details. The other day I went to the PCU casting with my aunt to audition for the stage play "What My Momma Doesn't Know". Yes, I took my aunt because she is interested in acting. I truly believe to look out for the interest of others; if I can help you, I will do so because my girlfriend, Felicia Wilkins, is the one who showed me the process. Therefore, anyone who is new to the arena, I am willing to do the same.
When we arrived, we filled out the necessary paperwork and I hugged and spoke to everyone that I haven't seen in a long time. This is not my first time working with PCU, which is why I couldn't understand why I was a little nervous. But of course I redirected that energy into my monologue, and they said I did a good job. They asked me a couple of questions and to speak in an African dialect which I was expecting, but I answered the questions and cited my "ABCs" to the best of my knowledge. Mrs. Spady also asked me when was I available, and that she would be calling me. So, I waited, and last night I received a text saying "Welcome to "What My Momma Doesn't Know". The title alone is intriguing, so I can't wait to indulge into the script. Last nights reading for "Have You Seen Her" went well. The Writer/Director/Founder of Deeva Entertainment Unlimited carefully selected the cast members for this play; I can tell that everyone is very fond of her and want to make sure her vision is fruitful. It's nothing like being around like-minded people. So far, it appears that we are going to have a good time.
Back to the reading, "Have You Seen Her" is an emotional piece, but it does have some humor to balance it out. All I can say after reading it is, this play is as real as it gets...I mean it hit home on some of the issues. I think it will leave the audience pondering about their decision-making as a parent that ultimately effects their children. I am pleased to be a part of this production. THIS PLAY IS A MUST SEE!!! Yesterday evening, my girlfriend and I arrived at BellNor Boutique to get fitted for the Hair 4 Haiti Charity Fashion Show Extravaganza! We are representing for the plus size women. I finally got the chance to meet Colleen, another plus size model who is beautiful and fierce! I had a good time trying on the clothes. This boutique has some nice dresses and pants outfit that are trendy and glamourous. Ms. Davis, the Owner, found two pieces that I will showcase in the trendy, and glamour segment of the show. I am pleased to be chosen and to wear BellNor's clothing at this event.
I prayed to the Lord for 2012 to be a better, busy and well-paid year, and so far it's starting off busy which is great! Next week I have the following: 1)Hair 4 Haiti Charity Fashion Show; 2)read thru for Deeva Entertainment Unlimited; 3)An audition for Purposed Child Unlimited. LETS GO!
